Acupressure (ACU= very small point, Pressure=To apply Pressure) is an alternative medicine technique. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through “meridians” in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Any disease can be cured by applying pressure on the corresponding points on palms or foot, of a particular organ of the body. By pressing these points, the toxins accumulated on that point of any organ flows away through the blood circulation and clears the energy blockages from that organ and cures the diseases. If the root cause of the disease is eliminated from our living style, the disease does not re-occur.

The particular point can be pressed either by just applying pressure by fingers, which is called acupressure. If the pressure is given by seeds, it is called seed therapy. If the pressure is applied by magnets, it is called magnetic therapy. If pressure is applied by cups, it is called cupping therapy. It is of two types, Dry Cupping and Wet Cuppingtherapy. Ifheat by moxa herb is applied on the points, it is called as moxibustion therapy. If needles are applied on the body, it is called Body Acupuncture,and if needles are applied on palms,it is called Sujok acupuncture.
